Review: adjective, numeral, adverb
Textbook: pp. 190–191
GoalReview adjectives, numerals and adverbs.
New words
adjective · sifatnumeral · sonadverb · ravish
Explanation
The adjective names an attribute and answers qanday?; its degrees are positive, comparative (-roq), intensive (juda, qop-qora) and diminutive (sal, -ish). The numeral shows quantity and order: there are six quantity numerals (counting, piece, approximate, distributive, collective, fractional), and ordinals are formed with -(i)nchi. The noun after a numeral takes no -lar: besh kitob. The adverb names an attribute of an action and answers qanday? qachon? qayerda? qancha?; its kinds are manner, time, place, quantity-degree and purpose-cause. Paired and repeated adjectives and adverbs take a hyphen: past-baland, birma-bir.
