reasoning text · muhokama matnithesis, opinion · fikrevidence · dalilconclusion · xulosa
Explanation

In a reasoning text an idea is proved with evidence and the cause or importance of something is discussed. It answers the question “Why?” (nima uchun? / nega?). It has three parts: the thesis (what we prove), the evidence (why it is so) and the conclusion. These parts are linked by words like chunki (because), shuning uchun (therefore), demak (so), ya’ni (that is). Reasoning texts are common in textbooks and scientific books.

Worked examples
“Reading is necessary”. Reading books is necessary. Because books increase our knowledge and enrich our speech. So a child who reads every day knows a lot.
Thesis — reading is necessary; evidence — knowledge grows, speech is enriched; conclusion — the child knows a lot.
Class activity

“Prove it!”: the teacher states a thesis (“Sport is useful”); groups find two pieces of evidence and finish the text with a conclusion.
