Person-noun suffixes and their spelling

Textbook: pp. 121–122
GoalFind and spell the suffixes that form person nouns.
New words
-chi (doer) · -chi-dosh (fellow) · -doshword-forming suffix · yasovchi qo‘shimcha
Explanation

Person nouns are formed with several suffixes. -chi names a person of a trade: baliqchi (fisherman), sutchi (milk seller), kitobchi (bookseller). -kor, -soz, -xon, -boz work similarly: paxtakor (cotton grower), soatsoz (watchmaker), kitobxon (reader), kabutarboz (pigeon keeper). -dosh means “sharing”: vatandosh (compatriot), sinfdosh (classmate), yurtdosh (fellow countryman). Added to a verb stem, -(u)vchi names the doer: quruvchi (builder), suzuvchi (swimmer), o‘qituvchi (teacher), yozuvchi (writer). -lik added to a place noun names a person living there: toshkentlik (from Tashkent), samarqandlik; because the word has become a common noun it is lowercase. All the suffixes are joined to the stem.
