Tense forms of the verb
Textbook: p. 86
GoalName the three tenses of the verb.
New words
tense · zamonpast tense · o‘tgan zamonpresent tense · hozirgi zamonfuture tense · kelasi zamon
Explanation
The forms that show an action or state taking place in one of three times are tense forms. The verb has three tenses: past (keldi, came), present (kelyapti, is coming) and future (keladi, will come). The past shows the action before the moment of speaking, the present shows it going on at that moment, and the future shows it after. A person-number suffix follows the tense: keldim, kelyapman, kelaman.
Worked examples
