Accusative endings of adjectives and pronouns

Explanation

In the accusative an adjective or pronoun agrees with its noun (questions «какой? какого? какую? какое? какие? каких?»). With an inanimate masculine noun it equals the nominative: «покупаю новый стол, этот красивый шарф». With an animate masculine noun it takes «-ого/-его»: «встречаю нового соседа, моего младшего брата». Feminine takes «-ую/-юю»: «читаю интересную книгу, рисую синюю птицу, жду нашу старшую сестру». Neuter equals the nominative: «открываю большое окно, ем вкусное яблоко». In the plural, with inanimate nouns it equals the nominative: «покупаю цветные карандаши, люблю ваши новые песни»; with animate nouns it equals the genitive: «вижу этих весёлых котят, жду наших добрых соседей».

“Весна” (Spring). «Я очень люблю раннюю весну. Я вижу голубое небо, зелёную траву и первую ласточку. Ребята надевают тёплые куртки. Мы встречаем нашего старого друга. Он любит весёлые игры и рассказывает смешные истории.» (I love early spring very much. I see the blue sky, green grass and the first swallow. The children put on warm jackets. We meet our old friend. He likes cheerful games and tells funny stories.)
«какой?» — «этот новый дом»; «какого?» — «этого нового ученика»; «какую?» — «эту новую книгу»; «какое?» — «это новое платье»; «какие?» — «эти новые игрушки»; «каких?» — «этих новых друзей».

“Spring picture”. Pupils draw a spring picture and write 3 sentences: «Я вижу зелёную траву. Я вижу голубое небо. Я вижу первых птиц».
