Explanation

When working with a text, first read it silently, mark unfamiliar words and find their meanings in a dictionary or from the context. Read this mini-text: “When answering a phone call, we first greet and introduce ourselves. We do not interrupt the other person and do not raise the voice more than needed. When the talk ends, we thank them and say goodbye.” The main idea: good manners apply on the phone as well.

Worked examples
«Suhbatdoshning gapini bo‘lmaymiz» (we do not interrupt the other person) — «bo‘lmoq» here means “to cut in”.
A synonym of «muloyim»: soft, courteous.
Class activity

In pairs act out a phone call: one calls, the other answers. Do not forget the greeting, introduction and goodbye.
