Mini-text: “Alisher Navoiy was born in Herat in 1441. A great poet and thinker, he raised the Uzbek literary language to a high peak. «Xamsa» is his famous work of five epic poems. Navoiy praised our mother tongue and showed its rich possibilities in his works.” Working on the text: pick out historical facts (1441, Herat), find synonyms and borrowed words, make an outline; main idea: Navoiy showed the richness of our mother tongue to the world.
