Textbook: pp. 90–91
GoalWork on a text about state symbols and the anthem; observe the spelling of words with z, s, x, h.
New words
anthem · madhiyaflag · bayroqcoat of arms · gerbpride · iftixor
Explanation

Mini-text: “State symbols are the flag, the coat of arms and the anthem. When the anthem plays, everyone stands, because it is a sign of respect for the Motherland. The words of Uzbekistan’s anthem were written by Abdulla Oripov and the music composed by Mutal Burkhonov.” Working on the text: «madhiya» comes from «madh etmoq» (to praise); find words with x, h, z, s and observe their spelling.

Worked examples
In «madhiya» d and h stand side by side: h is kept in writing.
«Iftixor» means pride.
