Объяснение
Vowel sounds are said with the voice and meet no obstacle in the mouth. There are six vowel letters: a, o, u, e, i, o‘. A word cannot be formed without a vowel, and every syllable has one. In some words a vowel is said differently from how it is written: bulut (cloud) sounds like “bulit” but is written with u; gilos (cherry) sounds like “gilas” but is written with o.
Примеры
Vowel letters: a, o, u, e, i, o‘. For example olma (apple): o, a — two vowels, two syllables (ol-ma).
Remember the spelling: bulut (u), gilos (o), kitob (i, o).
Работа в классе
“Vowel hunt”: the teacher says a word; children show the number of vowels on their fingers and write them on the board.
