-roq compares a feature with something else and shows there is more of it: balandroq (taller), tezroq (faster), yashilroq (greener). -ish and -imtir weaken it: sarg‘ish (yellowish), qizg‘ish (reddish), ko‘kimtir (bluish), qoramtir (blackish). All of these are written together. If we show that a colour is dark or light, two words are written separately: to‘q qizil (dark red), to‘q sariq, och yashil (light green), och pushti (light pink).
