Person and number forms
Textbook: p. 103
GoalKnow the person-number forms of the verb and choose them correctly.
New words
person · shaxsnumber · sonsingular · birlikplural · ko‘plik
Explanation
The forms that show who performs the action and whether this person is one or many are person-number forms. Persons I and II are expressed by special forms; in the 3rd person the tense suffixes themselves convey person. After the -di and -sa forms come -m, -ng, -k, -ngiz: o‘qidim, o‘qiding, o‘qidik, o‘qidingiz; o‘qisam, o‘qisang. After participle and adverbial-participle forms and after the present-future forms come -man, -san, -miz, -siz: o‘qiyman, o‘qiysan, o‘qiymiz, o‘qiysiz; o‘qigansan. The 3rd plural takes -lar: o‘qidilar, o‘qiydilar.
