Creativity hour. Project: comparing

Textbook: Part 2, pp. 69–71
GoalCreative task: compare noun-forming and case suffixes; compare two things.
New words
comparison · taqqoslashwhat is in common · umumiylikdifference · farqtable · jadval
Explanation

Comparing means finding similarities and differences between two things. A table or two circles (a Venn diagram) helps. A noun-forming suffix (-chi, -zor) makes a new noun; a case suffix (-ning, -ni, -ga, -da, -dan) joins the noun to another word. Both are added to nouns. Write your own thoughts in 3–4 sentences.

Worked examples
In common: both are added to nouns. Difference: -zor makes a new word (gulzor); -ga links (gulga).
Qalam and chizg‘ich: both are school tools. A pencil writes; a ruler measures.
Class activity

Project: “Two circles”. Pairs choose two things (pencil–ruler, apple–pear), draw two circles, write similarities and differences, then make 3 sentences.

Practice
1
Find what is similar in two things: olma and nok (apple and pear).
2
Explain the difference between the suffixes in gulzor and gulga.
3
Make a comparison sentence: yoz (summer) and qish (winter).
