New words
numeral · soncount · sanoqhow many? · nechta?how much? · qancha?
Explanation

A word that shows the count of a thing or person is called a numeral (son). It answers nechta? and qancha?: nechta qalam? – beshta qalam (five pencils); qancha kun? – yetti kun (seven days). The numeral is a word class of its own, like the noun and the adjective. We usually put the numeral before the noun: uchta olma (three apples), o‘n kun (ten days). When people are counted, the word nafar is also used: besh nafar o‘quvchi (five pupils).

Worked examples
Savatda to‘rtta olma bor. (There are four apples in the basket.) – to‘rtta: nechta? – a numeral.
