Creativity hour. Project: verbs

Textbook: Part 4, pp. 37–39
GoalCreativity hour: play with verbs; make verbs from syllables, a verb cinquain and a phrase.
New words
syllable · bo‘g‘incinquain · sinkveynidiom · iboragame · o‘yin
Explanation

We learn verbs through games. Syllables can be joined into a verb: yu + gur + di = yugurdi (ran). A cinquain has five lines: 1) a noun, 2) two adjectives, 3) three verbs, 4) a four-word sentence, 5) a synonym. An idiom is a figurative combination of words: ko‘ngli ochildi – xursand bo‘ldi (his heart opened up – he became glad).

Worked examples
o‘y + na + di = o‘ynadi (played); kul + di = kuldi (laughed)
Quyosh. Issiq, yorqin. Porladi, isitdi, uyg‘otdi. Quyosh hammaga nur beradi. Oftob. (Sun. Warm, bright. It shone, warmed, woke. The sun gives light to all. Sun.)
