Explanation

Order of verb analysis: 1) word class — verb; 2) its question — Nima qildi?; 3) affirmative or negative; 4) function in the sentence — predicate; 5) a close-meaning verb. Model: «Bola yugurdi» — yugurdi: verb, Nima qildi?, affirmative, predicate, close verb — chopdi.

Worked examples
«Anvar uxlamadi» — uxlamadi: verb, Nima qildi?, negative (-ma), predicate.
«Oybek quvondi» — quvondi: verb, Nima qildi?, affirmative, predicate, close verb — sevindi.
Class activity

“Analysis chain”: a child says a verb and answers question 1, the next child question 2, and so on until the analysis is finished.
