Working with verb meanings: with a text

Explanation

Working with a text, first read, then find the verbs. Explain each verb’s meaning from the sentence. If a verb is unclear, look it up in an explanatory dictionary. Group verbs by question and try replacing them with verbs of close meaning.

Worked examples
“A walk”. On Sunday we went with our family to the riverbank. Dad caught fish, mum prepared food. I watched the birds. In the evening we all returned home.
Verbs in the text: bordik, tutdi, tayyorladi, kuzatdim, qaytdik — all answer Nima qildi?.
Class activity

“Verb hunters”: groups collect verbs from a text into a list. The group with the complete list wins.
