Explanation
The suffixes -chi, -kor, -dosh, -zor, -loq are added to a base and make nouns. -chi, -kor, -dosh give the meaning of a person: qo‘shiqchi (singer), g‘allakor (grain grower), vatandosh (fellow countryman). -zor, -loq give the meaning of a place: olmazor (apple orchard), toshloq (stony ground). The new nouns have new meanings.
Worked examples
Persons: qo‘shiq — qo‘shiqchi, g‘alla — g‘allakor, vatan — vatandosh. Places: olma — olmazor, tosh — toshloq.
G‘allakor olmazorni sug‘ordi. (The grain grower watered the apple orchard.) Nouns with noun-forming suffixes: g‘allakor (-kor), olmazor (-zor).
Class activity
“Noun workshop”: suffix cards (-zor, -loq, -dosh) are matched to base cards (gul, tosh, vatan). The new word is read aloud.
