Creativity hour. Project: saving resources

Textbook: Part 2, pp. 34–35
GoalCreative task: write a text on saving resources following a plan and find the main parts in it.
New words
thrifty · tejamkorwaste · isroftap · jo‘mrakgeneration · avlod
Explanation

Before writing we make a plan: 1) what is thrift? 2) what can we save at home? 3) what do I do? We write 1–2 sentences for each point. When we finish, we find the subject and predicate in each sentence and underline them.

Worked examples
“A thrifty family”. Our family saves water and electricity. When we brush our teeth we turn off the tap. When we leave a room we switch off the light. Dad checks the meter every month. We protect natural resources for future generations.
Dadam hisoblagichni tekshiradi. (Dad checks the meter.) Subject: dadam. Predicate: tekshiradi.
Class activity

“Thrift stops”: the class forms four “stops”: water, electricity, paper, bread. Each stop says 2 sentences about saving it. The others find the subject and predicate.

Practice
1
Find the predicate: Biz tabiat boyliklarini asraymiz. (We protect nature’s resources.)
2
What does our family in the text save?
3
Why do we switch off the light?
