Explanation

Nima qildi? — the action was done: yozdi (wrote), kuldi (laughed), uxladi (slept). Nima qilyapti? — the action is happening now: yozyapti, kulyapti, uxlayapti. Nima qiladi? — the action will be or is habitual: yozadi, kuladi, uxlaydi. The word that does the action answers Kim? Nima?: Kim yozdi? — Dilnoza.

Worked examples
“Our class”. When the lesson begins we sit quietly. The teacher explains, we listen carefully. At break we play in the yard. In the library we read books.
o‘qidi – o‘qiyapti – o‘qiydi; yozdi – yozyapti – yozadi; kuldi – kulyapti – kuladi.
Class activity

“Three forms”: the teacher names an action (kuldi), children give all three forms: kuldi – kulyapti – kuladi. Then another verb.
