Possessive suffixes after vowels and after consonants
Textbook: Part 1, pp. 82–88
ЦельAdd possessive suffixes correctly after vowels and consonants.
Новые слова
vowel · unliconsonant · undoshheart · yurakvillage · qishloq
Объяснение
After a vowel the possessive suffixes are -m, -ng, -si, -miz, -ngiz, -lari; after a consonant they are -im, -ing, -i, -imiz, -ingiz, -lari: opa – opam, opasi; kitob – kitobim, kitobi. -lari is the same in both cases. If a word of two or more syllables ends in k or q, before a possessive suffix beginning with a vowel k becomes g and q becomes g‘: yurak – yuragim, qishloq – qishlog‘i.
