Numerals are divided into two kinds. Counting numerals show the amount and answer nechta? and qancha?: beshta, yetti, yigirma. Ordinal numerals show the order and answer nechanchi?: birinchi (first), to‘qqizinchi (ninth). For example: nechanchi xona? – birinchi xona (the first room); nechta xona? – beshta xona (five rooms).

Uchinchi qavatda yashayman. (I live on the third floor.) – uchinchi: nechanchi? – an ordinal numeral.
Daraxtda o‘nta olma bor. (There are ten apples on the tree.) – o‘nta: nechta? – a counting numeral.
