Writing adjectives with the words they belong to (2)
Textbook: Part 3, pp. 44–45
GoalFind adjectives with their words in a text and write a dictation.
New words
dictation · diktantzoo · hayvonot bog‘ihedgehog · tipratikanclever · zukko
Explanation
To find an adjective in a text we ask “Qanday?” before every noun. We write the adjective we find together with its noun, with a space between. In a dictation watch the spelling of adjective + noun phrases: oq bulut, tiniq suv, xushbo‘y gul. When finished, read through and check the spelling.
Worked examples
“At the zoo” (my own text). At the zoo there are big elephants and long-necked giraffes. A small hedgehog walks among the grass. Clever monkeys jump and play. The children are happy.
