Writing adjectives with the words they belong to (1)

Textbook: Part 3, pp. 42–43
GoalWrite an adjective together with the word it belongs to; write adjective + noun phrases as separate words.
New words
phrase · so‘z birikmasito write separately · ajratib yozishto write together · qo‘shib yozishpatriotic · vatanparvar
Explanation

When copying an adjective from a text we write it together with the noun it belongs to: “baland binolar”, not only “baland”. An adjective + noun phrase is two words written separately: katta uy, yangi daftar. Some adjectives are made of two bases and written together: xushbo‘y (fragrant), kamgap (of few words), mehnatsevar (hardworking), vatanparvar (patriotic), dilkash (attractive).

Worked examples
Text: Yo‘l chetida xushbo‘y gullar ochilgan. (Fragrant flowers have opened by the road.) Copy: xushbo‘y gullar.
Mehnatsevar dehqon (a hardworking farmer), kamgap qo‘shni (a quiet neighbour), vatanparvar yigit (a patriotic young man).
