Creativity hour. Project: healthy food

Textbook: Part 2, pp. 51–52
GoalCreative writing: write a short text about healthy eating and sort foods into groups.
New words
healthy · sog‘lomuseful · foydaliproduct, food item · mahsuloteating · ovqatlanish
Explanation

Healthy eating is a pledge of health. Fruit, vegetables, milk and water are good for you. Eating a lot of sweets, fizzy drinks and fatty fast food is not good for health. When you write the text, make 4–5 sentences, add case suffixes correctly and check the spelling. In the kitchen, adults always help with cooking: children do not touch knives and the stove themselves.

Worked examples
“A healthy table” (my own text). In the morning I drink milk and eat bread. At noon my mother makes soup from vegetables. In the evening I love apples. Mother says, “Drink more water.” That is why my health is good.
Class activity

Project: “Useful – careful”. Groups sort food pictures into two columns: good to eat every day / eat less; then write 3 sentences.

Practice
1
Find the ablative word: “Tushda onam sabzavotdan sho‘rva tayyorlaydi.”
2
Name two healthy foods and use one in the accusative in a sentence.
3
Why do we not touch the stove without an adult?
