Textbook: Part 2, pp. 31–33
GoalAnalyse the parts of a sentence step by step with questions.
New words
analysis · tahlilmodel · namunastep · bosqichwind · shamol
Explanation

To analyse a sentence we first find the subject (Nima? — shamol). Then the predicate (What did the wind do? — esdi). Then we find the secondary parts with questions (When did it blow? — kecha. What kind of wind? — kuchli). We mark the subject with one line, the predicate with two, and secondary parts with a wavy line.

Worked examples
Kecha kuchli shamol esdi. (A strong wind blew yesterday.) Nima? — shamol (subject). What did it do? — esdi (predicate). Qachon? — kecha. Qanday shamol? — kuchli.
Mohira bugun bog‘da gul terdi. (Mohira picked flowers in the garden today.) Subject: Mohira. Predicate: terdi. Secondary: bugun (when), bog‘da (where), gul (what).
Class activity

“Sentence analysts”: the class forms three teams. One finds the subject, the second the predicate, the third the secondary parts of the sentence on the board. Together they mark it.

Practice
1
Analyse: Bugun issiq shamol esdi. (A warm wind blew today.)
2
Analyse: Bolalar sinfda kitob o‘qidi. (The children read a book in the classroom.)
3
