Year-end revision (2)
Textbook: Part 4, pp. 84–86
GoalReview: word classes, plural, ordinal numbers, negative verbs.
New words
noun · otadjective · sifatnumeral · sonverb · fe’l
Explanation
Word classes: noun — Kim? Nima? (maktab, school); adjective — Qanday? (baland, tall); numeral — Nechta? Nechanchi? (uchta, three; uchinchi, third); verb — Nima qildi? Nima qiladi? (yozdi, wrote). The plural is made with -lar: kitoblar, bolalar. After a number the noun stays singular: uchta kitob. Ordinal numbers use -inchi, -nchi: beshinchi, ikkinchi. Adding -ma to a verb makes it negative: yozmadi. Mind spelling of derived words: gul + li = gulli.
Worked examples
