Explanation

Adjectives show the colour, taste, shape, size and kind or quality of persons and things. Colour: qora (black), oq (white), ko‘k (blue), sariq (yellow). Taste: shirin (sweet), achchiq (bitter/hot), sho‘r (salty), nordon (sour). Shape: dumaloq (round), cho‘ziq (elongated), tekis (flat). Size: katta (big), kichkina (small), keng (wide), tor (narrow), uzun (long), qisqa (short). Quality: mehribon (kind), kuchli (strong), ayyor (cunning), mayin (soft).

Worked examples
Colour — sariq limon; taste — nordon limon; shape — cho‘ziq limon; size — kichkina limon.
Mehribon buvim shirin non yopdi. (My kind grandmother baked sweet bread.) Mehribon — quality; shirin — taste.
Class activity

“Where is my house?”: five houses on the board (colour, taste, shape, size, quality). Children stick adjective cards into the right house.
