New words
author · muallifstar · yulduztraveller · sayyohfeast, party · ziyofat
Explanation
A literary tale is invented and written by a writer or poet, so its author is known. They can be in verse or prose. For example the tales of Hans Christian Andersen and Alexander Pushkin. The textbook has a poetic tale by Anvar Obidjon in which a restaurant opens in the forest and various animals come as guests. We read our own literary tale.
Worked examples
“The little star”. There was a little star in the sky. It was sad that it was not as bright as the others. One night a traveller who had lost his way looked at it and found the way home. The traveller said: “Thank you, little star!” The star understood that it too was useful and no longer envies anyone.
Difference: folk tale — author unknown; literary tale — author known.
