Explanation
Hashar is a good deed that neighbours and close ones do together. In hashar a big job is finished quickly. There is a proverb “Hashar — elga yarashar” (Hashar suits the people). An exemplary deed is a good deed that sets an example for others. Cleaning a ditch, sweeping the street and planting trees are examples of hashar.
Worked examples
“Hashar”. A ditch in our neighbourhood had got blocked. The neighbours gathered. Some took spades, some brooms. The children collected the rubbish. In an hour the ditch was cleaned. Everyone was happy.
Hashar is joint work. A neighbour is a person next to us.
