Explanation

A fable is a short story that shows people’s habits through animals or things. A fable ends with a lesson. Abdulla Avloniy also wrote fables. In the textbook fable a fly and a bee appear: one is lazy, one is hardworking. The conclusion is that work brings peace and comfort, while laziness brings shame.

Worked examples
“The ant and the grasshopper”. On a summer day the ant gathered grain all day long. The grasshopper lay in the shade and sang songs. Winter came. The ant’s home was full of food. The grasshopper had nothing. He apologised to the ant and learned to work.
A fable ends with a lesson.
