Kitchen items
Textbook: Part 1, pp. 72–74
GoalName kitchen items and what they are for; draw a conclusion from a tale.
New words
cauldron, big pot · qozonbowl · kosateapot · choynakutensil, tool · anjom
Explanation
In the kitchen we need various items for cooking and laying the table. Each of them was different long ago: for example, the spoon was first made of shells, wood and clay, later of metal. The textbook has a tale in which a knife, spoon and fork argue. We read our own tale about a cauldron, a bowl and a teapot.
Worked examples
“The cauldron, the bowl and the teapot”. The kitchen items gathered by the tablecloth and argued about who was more needed. The cauldron said: “I cook the food!” The bowl said: “I serve it to the guest.” The teapot said: “Without me there is no tea.” Then the owner of the table said with a smile: “You are all needed.” The items made peace and began to work together.
Conclusion: every item has its own place and job.
