Explanation

Alisher Navoi is the great poet and thinker of the Uzbek people. He was born in the city of Herat. Navoi wrote his poems in Uzbek and showed the richness of our mother tongue to the whole world. The textbook has a legend and wise sayings about him. A legend is an old story told among the people. A hikmat is a short, wise saying.

Worked examples
“A poet who loved books”. Alisher loved reading books from his youth. He learned poems by heart and tried writing them himself. Later he became a great poet. Navoi valued his mother tongue very much. He believed that “The word is a person’s priceless wealth.” We also read his poems.
Navoi is a poet. He was born in Herat. He wrote in Uzbek.
