Explanation

A skilled master who makes various things by hand is called a hunarmand (craftsman). Crafts have been developed in Uzbekistan since ancient times, and each place is famous for its own. The textbook also gives information about ganchkorlik (plaster carving), kandakorlik (metal engraving) and quroqchilik (patchwork). We read our own text and find titles for its parts.

Worked examples
“The land of masters”. Our country has many craftsmen. In Rishton potters make beautiful jugs and bowls from clay. In Margilan colourful atlas is woven from silk. In Chust knives and skullcaps are made. In Bukhara jewellers make ornaments. Tourists watch the masters’ work and learn about our customs.
