Textbook: Part 2, pp. 30–33
GoalState rules for avoiding flu and colds; find rhyming words in a poem.
New words
flu · grippcough · yo‘talhandkerchief · ro‘molcare, caution · ehtiyot
Explanation
In winter flu and colds increase. The textbook has the poem “Grippali” (Mr Flu) by Muazzam Ibrohimova: it humorously shows how the illness tries to infect people, and really teaches what not to do. We read the rules for protecting ourselves in our own text.
Worked examples
“Don’t let the flu visit”. When winter comes, flu increases. It passes from a person who coughs and sneezes to others. So when we cough we cover our mouth with a handkerchief. We wash our hands with soap. In the cold we dress warmly and wear a hat. If we get ill, we go to a doctor.
Rhyming pairs: sovun – qovun (soap – melon), qo‘l – yo‘l (hand – road).
Class activity
“Healthy child rules” poster: groups write 4 rules and draw pictures.
