Explanation
A family is a small community of parents, children, grandmother and grandfather. In the family we care for each other and give love. The poem in the textbook says warm words about a grandmother and grandfather. Respecting elders is family manners. That is why we call the family a “sacred fortress”: it protects us.
Worked examples
“Our family”. Our family is big. My grandmother and grandfather live with us. Dad goes to work, mum prepares food for us. In the evening we all gather around one table. Grandmother tells a tale. I feel calm in my family.
