Birovning gapini o‘zlashtirib aytganda (reported speech) o‘tgan zamon fe’li bir pog‘ona orqaga suriladi: «I am a volunteer,» he said → He said (that) he was a volunteer. Say – olmoshsiz: She said that..., tell – shaxs bilan: She told me that... Boshqa nutq fe’llari o‘ziga xos tuzilmaga ega: suggest + -ing (She suggested joining a club), promise + to-infinitive (He promised to help), advise + shaxs + to-inf (They advised us to apply early), warn + shaxs + not to (She warned us not to be late), ask + shaxs + to-inf (He asked me to speak slowly), explain + that (She explained that the club met on Fridays). O‘zbekistondagi yoshlar tashkilotlari va loyihalari (masalan, darslikda tasvirlangan YLDP – Young Leaders Development Project) yoshlarni faol bo‘lishga, ko‘ngilli ishlarga va yetakchilikka o‘rgatadi.
