Tushuntirish
Savollar o‘zlashtirilganda so‘roq tartibi oddiy gap tartibiga o‘tadi va yordamchi fe’l tushib qoladi: «Where do you study?» → He asked me where I studied. Ha/yo‘q savollarda if yoki whether ishlatiladi: «Do you like sport?» → She asked if I liked sport. Buyruqlar ask / tell / order + shaxs + to-inf: «Close the door.» → He told me to close the door. Inkor buyruq: not to. Vaqt va joy so‘zlari ham o‘zgaradi: now → then, today → that day, tomorrow → the next day, here → there. Antonimlar – qarama-qarshi ma’noli so‘zlar: join – leave, active – passive, include – exclude, generous – mean. Ba’zilari prefikslar bilan yasaladi: possible – impossible, polite – impolite, happy – unhappy.
Namunalar
“What are your hobbies?” the coach asked. → The coach asked what my hobbies were. “Join our club,” she said. → She told me to join their club.
Some members of our club are active, while others are rather passive. Most students join the club in September, but a few leave it in spring.
