Spelling of adjectives (1)

Textbook: Part 3, pp. 52–55
ЦельKnow the spelling of intensified adjectives (sap-sariq, oppoq).
Новые слова
intensifying · kuchaytirishhyphen · chiziqchasnow-white · oppoqbright yellow · sap-sariq
Объяснение

Adjectives that intensify a feature are made by repeating the first syllable and adding p or m. They are written with a hyphen: sap-sariq, qip-qizil, yam-yashil, kap-katta, tip-tiniq, to‘ppa-to‘g‘ri. Some are written together: oppoq. Do not mix them up with juda (very): juda katta is two separate words.

Примеры
sariq – sap-sariq; qizil – qip-qizil; yashil – yam-yashil; katta – kap-katta; tiniq – tip-tiniq; oq – oppoq.
Tip-tiniq suv (crystal-clear water). Yam-yashil maysa (bright green grass). Oppoq qor (snow-white snow). Juda baland tog‘ (a very high mountain).
