Explanation
Rasul Hamzatov was an Avar poet from Dagestan. He was born on 8 September 1923, and his father Hamzat Sadasa was also a famous poet. His first book appeared in 1943, and from 1945 he studied at the Literary Institute in Moscow. Hamzatov wrote his poems in his mother tongue, Avar, and they were translated into many languages, including Uzbek. The poet died on 3 November 2003.
