Explanation
The textbook gives four poems by the poetess. In “Qizimga” a mother is filled with happiness by the caress of small hands. “Yer uzra qo‘ndi oqshom” is a lullaby: evening, the moon and the stars are painted while the mother puts her baby to sleep. Grandmothers and grandfathers bless with “may his head be of stone”, and the poetess adds a wish that the heart should not turn to stone. In “Mening Vatanim” the poetess says she cannot find words worthy of describing the homeland and expresses endless love for it.
Worked examples
Example: a lullaby is sung in a calm tone, so the moonlight in the poem is described as “soft”.
