Making phrases with cardinal and ordinal numerals (3)

Textbook: Part 3, pp. 87–88
GoalMake phrases with counting and ordinal numerals (3): use them in sentences and dialogue.
New words
price · narxsom (money) · so‘mcustomer · xaridorseller · sotuvchi
Explanation

We use numeral phrases in sentences and conversation. A price answers qancha?: ikki ming so‘m (two thousand som). An amount is asked with nechta?: uchta non (three loaves). The phrase works as one part of the sentence. With digits, -ta is written separately: 5 ta uy, 12 ta daftar.

Worked examples
– Nechta non kerak? (How many loaves do you need?) – Ikkita. (Two.) – Narxi qancha? (What is the price?) – Olti ming so‘m. (Six thousand som.)
Yo‘lda 3 ta mashina to‘xtadi. (Three cars stopped on the road.)
