Meaning groups of nouns

Explanation

Nouns split into meaning groups. Names of people: ona (mother), nevara (grandchild), qo‘shni (neighbour). Jobs: duradgor (carpenter), novvoy (baker), bog‘bon (gardener). Natural phenomena: shamol (wind), qor (snow), momaqaldiroq (thunder). Means of transport: poyezd (train), samolyot (plane), velosiped (bicycle). You can add three words of your own to each group.

Worked examples
People: ona, nevara. Jobs: novvoy, bog‘bon. Nature: qor, tuman (fog). Transport: poyezd, tramvay (tram).
Tumanli tongda novvoy velosipedda ishga ketdi. (On a foggy morning the baker rode his bicycle to work.) Tuman — natural phenomenon; novvoy — job; velosiped — transport.
Class activity

“Sort into groups”: cards are handed out. Children stick them into four groups (people, jobs, nature, transport).
