Kinds of words

Explanation
Words naming a person or thing are nouns (Kim? Nima?). Words showing a feature are adjectives (Qanday? Qanaqa?). Words showing number are numerals (Nechta? Qancha? Nechanchi?). Words showing action are verbs (Nima qildi? Nima qiladi? Nima qilyapti?). Noun, adjective, numeral, verb are kinds of words.
Worked examples
Uchta kichik qush baland daraxtda sayradi. (Three small birds sang in the tall tree.) Nouns: qush, daraxt. Adjectives: kichik, baland. Numeral: uchta. Verb: sayradi.
Bobom beshta mazali olma terdi. (My grandfather picked five tasty apples.) Nouns: bobom, olma. Numeral: beshta. Adjective: mazali. Verb: terdi.
Class activity
“Where is my house?”: four houses are drawn on the board: noun, adjective, numeral, verb. Children place words in the right house and say the question.
