The Little Ones of Flower City, Part 1
Textbook: Part 1, pp. 41–43
GoalDescribe a character’s appearance and nature; give titles to parts of a story.
New words
character, hero · qahramontiny, little one · mitticap, hat · qalpoqdescription · ta’rif
Explanation
When describing a hero we say what he wears, what he does and what his character is like. In the textbook begins Nikolay Nosov’s tale about the town of the little ones; the best-known little one is Bilmasvoy. We meet our own little hero. Finding a title for each paragraph helps us understand the meaning.
Worked examples
