Explanation

Mirzo Ulugh Beg was Amir Temur’s grandson, a great astronomer and mathematician. In Samarkand he had an observatory built, watched the stars and compiled a table of stars (“Ziji jadidi Ko‘ragoniy”). The textbook has the poem “Mirzo Ulug‘bek” by Abdulla Polatov. We read our own text.

Worked examples
“The sky watcher”. Mirzo Ulugh Beg was Amir Temur’s grandson. In Samarkand he built an observatory for watching the stars. Together with scholars he determined the positions of stars and compiled a table. This table is called “Ziji jadidi Ko‘ragoniy”. Ulugh Beg also studied mathematics. His work is famous all over the world.
