Janrni aniqlash uchun syujetga (plot), qahramonlarga (characters), voqea joyiga (setting) va asosiy g‘oyaga (theme) qarang. Masalan, sirli jinoyatni tergov qilish – mystery; sehr va afsonaviy maxluqlar – fantasy; kelajak texnologiyasi – science fiction. Muhokamada fikr bildirish: I’d say it is a fantasy because..., It doesn’t seem to belong to... Foydali phrasal verbs: look up (lug‘atdan qidirmoq), pick up (olmoq, o‘rganib olmoq), set out (yo‘lga chiqmoq, boshlamoq), turn out (oxir-oqibat bo‘lib chiqmoq), take after (o‘xshamoq), bring up (tarbiyalamoq; mavzuni ko‘tarmoq), run out of (tugab qolmoq). Kutilmagan oxirni muhokama qilganda: The story turns out to be about friendship.
