→ He asked me where I studied. В вопросах «да/нет» используются if или whether: “Do you like sport?” → She asked if I liked sport. Команды передаются с помощью ask / tell / order + лицо + инфинитив с to: “Close the door.” → He told me to close the door. Отрицательная команда — not to. Слова, обозначающие время и место, тоже меняются: now → then, today → that day, tomorrow → the next day, here → there.

“What are your hobbies?” the coach asked. → The coach asked what my hobbies were. “Join our club,” she said. → She told me to join their club.
Some members of our club are active, while others are rather passive. Most students join the club in September, but a few leave it in spring.
