Explanation
On the poster give the location, the main attraction, things to do and a short packing list. Sample: “Chimgan is in the Tashkent region. It is famous for its mountains and fresh air. You can go hiking and take photos. Take warm clothes, comfortable shoes and water.” Recommendations: “I recommend ... because ...” “You should visit ... in spring.” Feedback on another group’s poster: “I like your holiday because ...”. Safety: in the mountains or near water go with adults and check the weather in advance.
Worked examples
Poster: “Aydarkul Lake!” Where? In the Navoi and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan. Famous for: a huge lake in the desert. What to do: swim, watch birds, ride camels. Take: a hat, sun cream and plenty of water.
Feedback: I like your holiday because it is unusual. I recommend adding a map and the best month to go.
Class activity
“Holiday fair”: groups walk around the posters and write one positive comment for each.
