Explanation

The book has a legend about Robin Hood, who lived in Sherwood Forest, took from the rich to give to the poor and entered an archery contest. Robin Hood is a hero of English folk tales and it is not certain that he was a real person. Below is my own short text about a hero like him. Read it and answer the questions. Adjectives to describe a hero: brave, clever, kind, fair, quick.

Worked examples
“The green archer”. In an old English forest there lived a man who wore green clothes, so nobody could see him among the trees. When the king’s men took too much money from poor villagers, the green archer quietly gave the money back. He was brave and clever, and he never hurt anyone. The villagers loved him, but the king’s men could never catch him.
Mini-dialogue. — Why did he wear green? — So nobody could see him in the forest. — What did he do for the villagers? — He gave their money back.
Class activity

“Who is it?”: say three adjectives for a hero and the class guesses who it is (Robin Hood, Alpomish, etc.).
