Explanation
In this unit we read about unseen work (traffic lights, the bell), true friendship, the ambulance, road rules, tools, the needle and the clock. The textbook authors: Nasiba Erxonova, Zuhra Ro‘ziyeva, Ne’mat Dushayev, Hakim Nazir, Zahro Hasanova. In review we state the main idea of each topic and make a conclusion in our own words.
Worked examples
“Work and time”. In one neighbourhood lived a baker, a driver, a tailor and a doctor. Every day they did their jobs on time. The baker got up early to bake bread, the driver followed traffic rules, the tailor sewed clothes with a needle, the doctor helped the sick. One day the electricity went out and the clocks stopped. The neighbourhood was in disorder for a moment, but everyone returned to their work. “Everybody’s work is important,” said the children.
Review question: which topic is about modesty and helping? (the “true friend” theme)
Class activity
“Topic chain”: groups draw a picture for each topic of the unit and write the main idea.
